Church of the Open Door | Come in to know Christ. Go out to serve Him.
What We Believe

Church of the Open Door bases its faith upon the Bible which we receive as the inerrant
Word of God. It is our conviction that only God's Word gives us Truth by which to live.

The Scriptures
We believe that all Scripture is inspired by God .

The Godhead
We believe there is one God eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the Son,
and the Holy Spirit.

The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, true God and true man,
conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified,
buried, and resurrected. He ascended into heaven where He is now our advocate.

Man
We believe man was created in the image of God, but has become dead in sin,
Christ alone excepted.

Salvation
We believe that to enter the kingdom of God one must be born again. Salvation is by faith
in the shed blood of Christ.

The Church
We believe that all who are united by faith to Christ are members of the true Church.

The Blessed Hope
We believe the next great event in prophecy will be the coming of Christ for His own.

The Eternal State
We believe that at death those who have trusted Christ go immediately into His presence
to await the resurrection, but the souls of the unbelieving remain in misery until the final

judgment from which they will be cast, soul and body, into the lake of fire.
